Below is an overview of the wide range of extra-curricular clubs available at Hempland Primary School.
We offer a broad and varied programme of extra-curricular clubs for children in Years 1 to 6. Our club offer is reviewed and refreshed each half term to ensure there is a diverse range of opportunities that reflect the interests, talents and needs of our pupils. This approach ensures that every child has the opportunity to find a club that inspires and engages them.
Staff work closely with pupils to respond to their interests and support the development of individual talents. Pupil voice is sought and we try to encourage all pupils to attend at least one club a year.
Our extra-curricular clubs include a wide range of creative, sporting and academic opportunities, such as: Sign Stars Choir, Recorder, STEM racing, Sing and Sign Choir, Football, Games, Chess, Cricket, Art, Cheerleading, Dance, Performing Arts, Homework, Book Club, Multisports, Geography, History to name but a few! We have something for everyone!
We work in partnership with Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust Sports Partnership to further enrich our offer and provide opportunities for inter-school competition. We also have links with York City Football, York Knights Rugby, Chance to Shine Cricket who enhance our ongoing provision.
We also offer peripatetic music lessons for children, delivered by specialist providers Rocksteady and Link Learning, enabling pupils to further develop their musical skills.
