At Hempland Primary School, our Planet Protectors play an important role in promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility across the school. Each year group is represented by two Planet Protectors, who act as ambassadors for caring for our environment and encouraging positive change.
Led by Miss Wilkinson, Planet Protectors meet regularly to develop and lead initiatives that support recycling, reduce waste and improve the school environment. Their work includes promoting effective recycling around school, tackling litter, and raising awareness of how small actions can make a big difference.
Through their role, Planet Protectors develop leadership skills, teamwork and a strong sense of responsibility, while helping to embed environmentally conscious habits within our school community. Updates on projects and initiatives are shared in school to celebrate their impact and inspire others to take action.
In 2025 our Planet Protectors achieved the ‘Eco Schools Award’!
